This is not Kansas
Oh, this is so cool! I think I saw a small version/reproduction of the DOOWYLLOH painting/billboard at Ceder Sinai 7th floor when visiting my aunt there, and jotted down who the artist was etc. I’ll have to see if I took a photo of it. Love the original sign – never did get very close to it though.
Cool. Lake Hollywood is close, right? Of the tiny bit of Hollywood lore I know, the opening of the Andy Griffith show was shot there.
Wooow…so, when are you gonna write a book, PA!
I recognize that street! It’s called Memory Lane.
Look at that Dodge Charger, it’s a classic! Wave to Kowalsky.
Financial Indemnit…y? What’s that? Does it involve murderous blonds?
On long nights it’s all about longer length. Tar be damned.
Wow! That shadow of Hollywood or (doowylloh) video is so cool!
Pretty cool. Hope you had fun walking.
That is a cool video. You sure seem to get around your little town. Not entirely sure that that’s a Charger though, Vanda…wrong tail lights. It’s an early 70’s Mercury Montego. I just had to show off my useless trove of automotive trivia. So why can’t I retain the important stuff, like whatever became of Vampira?
Just come to show you how little I know about cars. :(
Just thought you might enjoy this story from Livorno.
Damn you, I just now have a craving for that evil caramel, peanut butter, sugar, sugar, sugar concoction of yours.
PA, I love the Hollywood/doowylloH shadow video. Very cool.
D and Vanda, I think you’re both wrong, I think it’s a special edition 1971-72 Plymouth Barracuda.
And speaking of vehicles, PA, I surprised at you, you didn’t even recognize me at the picnic. I was the one wearing the Smoky the Bear costume, driving the Sherman Tank around the perimeter of the park. That shit going down over at AH’s blog got me worried about you all. Glad your all safe and sound.
Midtown, you know PA. I don’t want to say anything, but the words “three sheets” and “wind” spring to mind.
Did she bring her flask?
OK PA, I can admit when I’m wrong, cause I think D’s got the Mercury right with the three tail lights, but a Montego? no way. I’d bet a $3 bill it’s a 70’s Mercury Cyclone GT.
D, How about a link, this stupid car thing is driving me nuts.
AH, you made me laugh… listing a bit, with her keel showing and water on her deck? I thought so from looking through the binoculars, but I almost thought it was me from heat exhaustion, the Smoky costume, from inside the tank. Thanks for the clarification, important things to know.
