Entering Through the Devil’s Gate
by Pasadena Adjacent
The Devil’s Gate and eventual dam. Site of one of the seven portals leading to hell; this according to cultist Alistair Crowley. Better known for being Adjacent to the Jet Propulsion Laboratory and Altadena Hiker’s horse Vandy. The orange grove is courtesy of artist Alexis Smith (not the actress; but named after her). She was a visiting artist at Pasadena City college back in 2005.

#3 if my “Bridges that cross the rivers of the San Gabriels” series. Note that the bridge in the orange label art is one and the same as that seen in the photograph. Clever of me to make the connection.
