Performers: Taisha Paggett and Joseph Ravens
Yes, you’ve probably seen these two performance artist posted elsewhere. Of course unless you were in attendance, you can’t appreciate how they moved. Not a problem thanks to another “Masters at Work” Wee video production. Your welcome
On The Trail Of A Half Mile Of Al Fresco Installations, Sculptures And PerformancesNewTown Arts
Performance artists? It’s about time they renamed these aliens from another solar system. The new label has a much more positive connotation.
btw, pa: sorry I had to decline your invitation to Jacko in de Box.
love this! is it part of a larger piece?
They are fascinating. Well done with the video – esp. interesting to see the people’s reaction to them. (…& it is kind of spooky to see the tree guy again).
I love it! You’re right, it adds so much to see them actually moving.
I was talking about the art. But what’s with the worms??
Ok Godard, you’re getting dangerous with that camera.
I get it now, people in Pasadena aren’t like the rest of us, or our worms. Or how we take a walk. Especially the walk.
Wow. What a fun event that must have been. How whimsical. Also, the worms are sort of creeping me out, but I’m sure they’re great for compost.
I’d swear the fellow with the big head and rocks in his pants is performing for you. Makes wormley sense to me.
I was there too (on the trail,) and I could swear that the one carrying the shovel was the infamous Hiker. No wonder she thinks you’re getting dangerous with the camera; you just might blow her cover.
May I suggest you check out Joseph Ravins link. It leads to a video performance called “Alchemy of the Tulips”. I find the silhouettes of the audience being included an added bonus
CO: I didn’t ask you out for breakfast. I would never share my 2 for 99 cent tacos with a dog who speaks in texting.
Vetti: Besides me and the crew in Dumpster Dive Potlatch
these were the only other performers in the art exhibition
Dina: All part of the earth theme. I also think the first character looks like a worm.
Tash: You’ll notice how everyone stopped and allowed me to film (except the red head). Fortunately her colors became a welcomed addition.
AH: And on the first take. The fellow with the “big head” hammed it up for the camera.
PJ: shhhh don’t tell anyone but the artist’ only perform and show in Pasadena. Otherwise they live in the adjacents (Highland Park, Eagle Rock, Mount Washington, Altadena). Pasadena is too expensive.
Margaret: The worms are my contribution. I wish I had more of them in my soil. My corn might then be as high as an elephants eye (blame the hiker and yourself for that last line)
John E: The rocks had me oscillating between worm boy or tumor boy. I kept on the line of the earth theme. I tend to confuse people anyhow.
Mid-Town-G: she told me she came but she didn’t “dig it”…liar!
D: wait till you see Trash Tuesday’s package.
