Tag Sale Tuesday #99: Where Getting it Cheap is Part of the Esthetic
by Pasadena Adjacent
The Editor spent the last year going to every online site that she could find offering area rugs at a reasonable price. She finally found something she could live with (and her cat could barf on) without upsetting the delicate balance of her psyche. Not the shag rug. The Winnie the Pooh bear skin rug.
This recent acquisition ‘with built in protruding belly’ comes by way of a Highland Park garage sale. On a side street that dumps you onto the Pasadena Freeway at Marmion Way. Never one to disappoint, Mr V makes dreams come true – for 5 bucks. It’s provenance is still being looked into by way of Pasadena Adjacent’s Research and Development Team. But what we do know is that it’s a 100% polyester and made by Disney. The editor’s guess, due to Twyla’s fascination with it’s ‘stink’ is that it was worn by a perspiring low wage earner, as part of Disneyland’s Main Street Parade.
